Hospitality Sector

Be part of the Food4Heroes network

The pandemic has been particularly hard on the hospitality sector with full shut downs, restrictions on party size, time constraints and stringent COVID-19 safety regulations.

Despite these hardships, restaurants, pubs and caterers were quick to offer their support to Food4Heroes, supplying over 230,000 meals to NHS staff during the first phase.

This level of support has continued into our next phase with many of our existing partners continuing to supply the meals which are now distributed through foodbanks.

Food4Heroes pays suppliers around £2 per meal to cover their costs, the funding for which is solely from donations.

“We are not good at sitting still so we jumped at the chance to get involved with Food4Heroes. We’re proud to be continuing our partnership into this next phase. The pandemic has had a major impact on our business but providing meals for vulnerable people in our communities has given us something to focus on. “The scheme has had such a positive impact on so many people, not just those who have benefitted from the meals but our family, the local residents and our customers who have all been keen to help with donations and volunteering.”
